Whittier Dial-A-Ride

Dial-A-Ride (DAR) is a service of the City of Whittier for residents who need assistance going from place to place. DAR is a shared ride system that organizes pick-ups and drop-offs in a way that allows them to serve as many residents as possible. The vehicles can easily accommodate wheelchairs and walkers. City of Whittier residents who are 60 and over or residents with a qualifying disability that prevents driving or use of public transportation (doctor’s certification required) are eligible. DAR can take you within City limits 365 days a year!

For more information call the Transit Division (562) 567-9480. Proof of age is required.

  •  $5 for 10 rides
  • $10 for 20 rides

DAR passes are available for purchase at Palm Park and the Whittier Community Center. For more information please call the Dial-a-Ride information line at (562) 567-9480.
