Presented in partnership with Next Level Theatre. Performances will take place in January 2026. Check back soon for cast information, or call (562) 567-9430.
Build your acting chops or run the show behind the curtain—no singing or dancing required. This program is designed for youth ages 12-18 to explore every part of theater, from acting and monologues to lighting, sound, and stage management.
Participants are encouraged to bring their own ideas or work alongside our theater staff to create original scenes and stories. These pieces will be developed, rehearsed, and presented in a final showcase for family and friends. This isn’t a talent show—it’s an immersive, hands-on workshop where young artists learn the craft of theater, both on stage and behind the scenes.
When registering, participants choose one of two tracks:
Performance – Act, perform monologues, and create original scenes with fellow cast members.
Technical – Learn stagecraft, lighting, sound, and stage management to bring the show to life behind the scenes.
By the end of the program, students will:
-
Master theater basics (terminology, stage directions, voice & movement)
-
Work collaboratively to create and rehearse original material
-
Build confidence and self-expression
-
Present their work in a final showcase for family & friends
Program begins January 2026. To register, or for more information, visit here.
