As of September 2025, Parnell Park and the Storybook Zoo are closed for construction as part of the Parnell Park Renovation and Improvement Project. Our beloved animals are currently being cared for in a separate area of the park, away from the project.

Located at Parnell Park in Whittier, the Parnell Park Storybook Zoo is a viewing zoo with a wide variety of animals and birds to view and enjoy. Miniature horses, alpacas and a donkey are fan favorites along with potbelly pigs, goats, tortoises, reptiles and an aviary of birds.
