DESCRIPTION:<p><strong>Students Run Whittier&nbsp;</strong></p><p>&nbsp;</p><p>Our City of Whittier Recreation staff members host a free running club for youth grades 2nd-8th to&nbsp;prepare&nbsp;for local 5k runs!<br>Trainings teach participants the fundamentals of running, building self-esteem, awareness of lifelong physical fitness all while enjoying a fun atmosphere with their peers.<br><br>Practice Schedule<br>Parent Meeting: Tuesday&nbsp;8/26&nbsp;@Michigan Park Bungalow<br>Practices: Tuesdays 5:30pm-6:30pm @Michigan Park (9/2-10/21)<br>Practices: Saturdays 10:00am-11:00am @Michigan Park (9/6-10/18)<br>Team Banquet: Tuesday, October 28. 5:30pm-6:30pm @TBD<br><br>5K Race<br>Saturday, October 25. Whittier Spooktacular 5k Run/Walk.<br>(Registration Details TBD.
